Muhanga: Ahazaza Independent School Excels in Annual DELF Exams

Ahazaza Independent School in Nyamabuye sector has once again demonstrated academic excellence in the annual Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française (DELF) exams held in May 2024.

Under the guidance of the school management, the pupils showcased exceptional proficiency in the French language, achieving impressive results that highlight their dedication and hard work.

The results this year were outstanding. Among the pupils who participated; 33 pupils scored top marks of 90% and over, 40 pupils demonstrated remarkable proficiency with scores between 80% and 89%, 15 pupils achieved commendable results with scores between 70% and 79%, 9 pupils secured solid scores between 60% and 69%, 2 pupils attained marks between 50% and 59%, reflecting their commitment and progress.

Flavien Muhire, the interim Director of Ahazaza Independent School, explained, “DELF is a prestigious certification awarded by the French Ministry of Education, designed to assess the language skills of non-native French speakers. It comprises several levels, from A1.1 for beginners for beginners to C2 for advanced users, focusing on listening, reading, writing, and speaking abilities. Achieving a DELF certification not only validates one’s language proficiency but also opens doors to higher education, career opportunities, and cultural enrichment on an international level. Pupils who hold this certificate have the opportunity to study in any country that offers programs taught in French.”
