ICK Welcomes New Students with Enthusiasm to Faculty of Education

On March 3rd, 2024, Institut Catholique de Kabgayi (ICK) welcomed a vibrant cohort of more than 200 eager students to its esteemed Faculty of Education, specifically for the March intake, comprising holiday students.

The arrival of these students was met with warm embraces from faculty members and student representatives alike, marking the commencement of an exciting journey towards their aspirations of becoming future educators.

Addressing the fresh faces, Father Dr. Prudence Bicamumpaka, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academics and Research, conveyed his enthusiasm for the newest additions to the ICK family.

“We are thrilled to welcome this diverse group of students who possess a fervent dedication to pursuing a career in education,” he remarked. “With our array of facilities and seasoned faculty members, I am confident they will receive an exceptional education experience at ICK.”

Among the newcomers were Uhoracyeye Esperance and Kubwimana Innocent, two aspiring educators who exuded excitement about commencing their studies at ICK.

Uhoracyeye, an English-Kinyarwanda student, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to study at such a prestigious institution.

“I have long harbored ambitions of becoming a teacher,” she shared. “I am eager to broaden my teaching skills and glean insights from the best minds in the field. My goal is to equip myself with the knowledge necessary to provide my future students with the quality education they deserve.”

Similarly, Innocent Kubwimana, a History-Geography student, conveyed his enthusiasm for joining ICK.

“I chose ICK because of its stellar reputation for nurturing top-tier educators,” he explained. “I am excited to be part of this dynamic and supportive community, inspired by the success stories of past students. I intend to immerse myself in learning and absorb as much knowledge as possible to deliver a high standard of education to my future students.”
