Institut Catholique de Kabgayi (ICK), in partnership with CHANCEN International Rwanda, has opened applications for financial support for students seeking to join the September 2026 intake.
The opportunity is open to prospective students pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Nursing (A1) or an Advanced Diploma in Midwifery (A1), both three-year programmes. The announcement was issued by ICK on August 11, 2026.
The financial support is provided through CHANCEN’s Income Share Agreement (ISA), which covers students’ tuition fees during their studies. After graduation, beneficiaries repay a portion of their income once they begin earning.
ICK and CHANCEN International Rwanda joined hands in February 2025 to provide innovative tuition financing to students. Since the partnership began, ICK has received students benefiting from the programme in the March 2025, September 2025, and March 2026 intakes.

The September 2026 intake marks a new development in the partnership, as Nursing and Midwifery students will benefit from the programme for the first time. Previously, the opportunity was available to students in programmes including Journalism, Public Relations, Environmental Management, Rural and Urban Development, and Education.
For the September 2026 intake, eligible applicants must be Rwandan citizens, female, and from disadvantaged backgrounds. They must also have graduated from Senior 6 or its equivalent in 2024 or later.
Applicants for Nursing must have an Advanced General Certificate of Secondary Education with grades ranging from A to E in the required subjects. Applicants for Midwifery must have an Advanced General Certificate of Secondary Education with a minimum of 60% in Associate Nursing.
Applicants are required to submit a notarized copy of their Advanced General Certificate of Secondary Education or A-Level result slip and a copy of their National Identity Card. Applications can be submitted online through the ICK website at www.uck.ac.rw, with the deadline set for August 31, 2026.
Selected candidates will be required to pay CHANCEN International Rwanda a RWF 200,000 commitment fee, payable over three years through quarterly instalments of RWF 50,000. They will also be required to meet the Income Share Agreement requirements and attend an ISA workshop before the start of classes.
Successful candidates who receive CHANCEN financial support will be notified by ICK and will begin their studies with the September 2026 intake.
