In a solemn and poignant announcement of April 3, President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. has designated a Presidential Delegation to attend Kwibuka 30, the 30th Commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, set to take place on April 7, 2024, in Kigali, Rwanda.

The delegation, led by the Honorable William Jefferson Clinton, 42nd President of the United States of America, underscores the United States’ unwavering commitment to honoring the memory of the victims and standing in solidarity with the survivors of one of the darkest chapters in human history.

Joining President Clinton are esteemed individuals including the Honorable Eric Kneedler, United States Ambassador to the Republic of Rwanda.

Additionally, the inclusion of the Honorable Mary Catherine Phee, Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of African Affairs, underscores the pivotal role of diplomacy and multilateral engagement in preventing future atrocities and promoting human rights across the African continent.

The delegation is further enriched by the presence of the Honorable Casey Redmon, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Legislative Affairs, National Security Council, The White House.

Moreover, the appointment of the Honorable Monde Muyangwa, Assistant Administrator of the Bureau for Africa, U.S. Agency for International Development, underscores the importance of sustainable development and humanitarian assistance.
