Rwanda will host the 2nd Edition of the Land Forces Commanders Symposium (LFCS) in Kigali from October 21 to 22, 2025, the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) has announced.
The symposium, themed “Leveraging Land Forces Capabilities for Enhanced Implementation of Peace and Security Strategies,” will bring together Land Forces Commanders from across Africa and beyond to discuss strategies aimed at strengthening continental peace and security.
According to the RDF, the high-level forum will serve as a strategic platform for senior military leaders to exchange insights, build partnerships, and explore collaborative approaches to emerging and persistent security challenges.
The RDF said the symposium reflects a shared continental vision for adaptable, collaborative, and citizen-focused defense strategies amid increasingly complex security dynamics. It also provides an opportunity for military and defense stakeholders to examine new realities in warfare and underscore the importance of unity in promoting peace across Africa and beyond.
The two-day event will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, and bilateral engagements, with participation expected from military leaders, defense experts, and key stakeholders in regional and international peace and security.
