Who We Are

Who We Are

ICK News is the online newsroom of the students of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication at the Institut Catholique de Kabgayi (ICK), a Catholic university based in Kabgayi, Muhanga, Rwanda.

How We Work

How We Work

We follow professional editorial standards: every story is reported, fact-checked and reviewed before publication. Students hone their skills through real reporting, internships in national media, and the operation of the campus radio, television and online newspaper.

What We Do

What We Do

We cover politics, education, health, economy, lifestyle, security, sports and entertainment - bridging classroom theory and real-world journalism, and telling the stories of the campus and the wider community.

Management

Management

ICK News is guided by faculty lecturers of the Journalism and Communication programme, who mentor a student editorial team responsible for reporting, ethics and day-to-day workflow.

The editorial board is made up of journalism and public-relations students working under the guidance of faculty editors. They plan coverage, review stories and uphold the newsroom's editorial standards across Kinyarwanda and English.
