ICK News ni Ikinyamakuru cyashinze ku ntego yo gufashaabanyeshuri biga Itangazamakuru n’Itumanaho muri Institut Catholique de Kabgayi. Ni ikinyamakuru kigamije gutanga urubuga ku banyeshuri kugira ngo barusheho kwihugura mu kwandika no gutara inkuru zifitiye inyungu umuryango wa Kaminuza ndetse n’imibereho rusange y’abaturage.
Ishami ry’Itangazamakuru n’Itumanaho
Iri shami ni rimwe mu mashami ane ya ICK, ryashinzwe mu mwaka wa 2002 na Diyoseze ya Kabgayi. Rigizwe n’amashami abiri: Itangazamakuru n’Itumanaho, aho iyi porogaramu yigwa mu gihe cy’imyaka itatu.
Icyerekezo: Kuba ishami ry’icyitegererezo, ry’indashyikirwa kandi rifite agaciro.
Inshingano: Gutoza abanyeshuri kuba abanyamwuga mu Itangazamakuru no mu Itumanaho rusange, bafite ubushobozi bwo guhangana ku rwego rw’igihugu, mu Karere ndetse no ku rwego mpuzamahanga.

Objectives:

Iyi porogaramu irimo amasomo atandukanye arimo: amategeko y’itangazamakuru n’imyitwarire, imyitozo y’itangazamakuru ryanditse, gukora ku binyamakuru, gukora kuri radiyo na televiziyo, itangazamakuru ryo ku mbuga nkorerabuzima, gutanga amakuru no kuyayobora ku mbuga nkoranyambaga, gukora ikinamico ya radiyo na filimi, itangazamakuru ricukumbura, itangazamakuru ryihariye, ibibazo runaka mu itangazamakuru, ndetse n’indangagaciro z’ubumuntu n’izamatorero yakirisitu.

Some Achievements
From 2002 until now, the Faculty graduated 847 laureates, 240 in the department of Public Relations and 617 in the department of Journalism
The Faculty has equipped Radio and Television studios that help students to practice what they study.
The Faculty has a video Conference Room used by guest lecturers from foreign countries to teach our students
The Faculty has already started the internationalization of its program thanks to the support of European Union via Erasmus plus programme
The Faculty sent two students every year to CHE University of Applied Sciences located in the Netherlands
The Faculty receives lecturers from CHE University of Applied Sciences located in the Netherlands for teaching
The Faculty collaborates with Rwanda Media Program of Fojo Media Institute and Pax Press for strengthening teaching journalism
The Faculty has a media club that provides news to ICK community
The Faculty has a gender club that promotes gender equality
The faculty has launched the website ickjournalism.com for ICK News that serves as online Newspaper , online Radio and online Television
The Faculty has created 69 media clubs in different secondary schools surrounding ICK
