Mujawamariya Rosa shared her experience, saying, “Before joining Azizi Life, it was challenging to provide for my children. However, after becoming part of this initiative, I can now pay for their school fees, cover the family’s health insurance through Mutuelle de Santé, and meet other needs.”

She added, “I am not the only one who has benefited; my colleagues, who once struggled to make ends meet, can now afford their necessities and even save for the future.”

In an interview with Azizi Life’s Director, Mrs. Jeannine Umutoniwase, she elaborated on the organization’s activities and unique approach.

“Since our inception, our mission has been to create opportunities that empower artisans and craftsmen by leveraging the rich cultural heritage of our country,” she explained.

She further mentioned that their daily work involves partnering with highly skilled artisans who lack market access, with Azizi Life actively seeking markets for their creations both domestically and internationally.

Mrs. Umutoniwase emphasized that their focus extends beyond creating aesthetically pleasing products. “It’s not just about producing beautiful items; we are also committed to ensuring that our methods and materials are environmentally friendly, as all our products are handmade without the use of chemical additives.”

Azizi Life is a social enterprise dedicated to advancing traditional artisans.
