Miss Kenza Johanna Ameloot, a 22-year-old Belgian with Rwandan heritage, recently captured the title of Miss Belgium 2024, outshining nearly 2,000 contestants.
Miss Kenza born to a Rwandan mother named Gakire Joselyne, and a Belgian father.
She is now a third-year International Business student and a fashion model.
In an exclusive interview with ICK News, Miss Kenza revealed her passion for languages.
“I speak French, English, German, and I’m currently learning Spanish,” she shared.
She also mentioned her basic proficiency in Kinyarwanda, highlighting her commitment to connecting with diverse cultures.
Kenza’s interest in languages stems from her love for social interaction.
“Learning languages is something I deeply enjoy because it helps me communicate with people from different backgrounds and understand each other better,” she explained.
Though she now resides in Belgium, Miss Kenza makes it a point to visit Rwanda every two years.
She expressed her admiration for Rwanda, praising the country’s strong sense of community and stunning natural beauty. “Rwandans are incredibly supportive of one another, and I also appreciate the natural beauty of the country.”
When in Rwanda, Kenza’s favorite foods include isombe, fruits, bananas, and drinking Fanta.
Kenza Ameloot also has a diverse range of interests, including media, acting, and music. She specifically loves Rwandan music and is a big fan of the artist Ngabo Jobert Medard, known as Meddy.
Miss Kenza also has personal ties to Rwanda, having spent significant time in Gikondo, Kicukiro District, Kigali, with her maternal grandparents.
