METEO Rwanda has issued a warning to the citizens of Rwanda regarding the continuation of heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms.
The warning comes in light of the seasonal rainfall forecast for March to May 2024 and the anticipated rains from May 1-10, 2024.
According to METEO Rwanda, the heavy rainfall is expected to range between 40 to 60 mm per day, particularly between April 30 and May 4, 2024.

In response to these forecasts, METEO Rwanda urges the general public to take appropriate measures to mitigate the potential impacts associated with heavy rainfall. Citizens are advised to stay informed and prepared, following the provided weather and climate information closely.
Director General Aimable Gahigi emphasized the importance of proactive measures in safeguarding lives and property during adverse weather conditions.
