The clock is ticking at the Institut Catholique de Kabgayi (ICK) as the election for the new AGE-ICK Committee approaches.
With just three days remaining, excitement and anticipation are sweeping across campus. Students are gearing up to elect the leaders who will guide the Association Générale des Étudiants (AGE) through the 2024-2025 academic year.
This election represents a pivotal moment in the governance of both academic and social activities at ICK.
The candidates, representing diverse faculties and academic years, bring with them a wealth of perspectives and aspirations. From hopeful Guild Presidents to Ministers of Education, Culture, Health, and beyond, the lineup reflects ICK’s dedication to fostering capable and dynamic student leaders.
The candidates hail from various faculties, including: Journalism and Communication Studies, Education, Health Sciences, Development Sciences and Social Studies, Economic Sciences and Business Management.
This wide-ranging representation ensures that all disciplines within ICK have a voice in shaping the future of student life.
The election process, overseen by the Dean of Students and the current AGE-ICK leadership, emphasizes fairness and transparency. The Arbitration Committee, chaired by President Innocent Twizeyimana, is charged with organizing the event, while the current Guild President’s Office supervises the overall proceedings.
Voting is scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 2:00 PM, in Main Hall 1 of the New Building, second floor. Each class will be represented by its top three leaders at the voting venue.
Students are reminded to bring valid identification and review the manifestos of their preferred candidates in advance.
